My name is Rose Owens, and I proudly call myself an Appreciation Ambassador.
With a background in education, I spent years teaching in Tennessee before transitioning to corporate training in California. I had the privilege of working with companies such as Jenny Craig, Landmark Education, Hilton Hotel, and LeTip International. As a dedicated educator, I have a passion for both learning and teaching. Through these training programs, I discovered the immense power of appreciation for my students, fellow participants, coworkers, and clients.
During one of my initial programs, the "Self-Expression and Leadership Program," I collaborated with volunteer coaches to enhance their ability to guide students. I realized that one of the most impactful actions I could take was to train, validate, appreciate, and praise their efforts. As I did, I witnessed remarkable growth in their confidence, positive attitudes, and coaching skills. They began to appreciate their participants more deeply and felt truly known and supported in their coaching endeavors.
This concept can be expressed in many ways. Here is one example: when something like land increases in value, it is said to "appreciate." Why can't people be the same? When you appreciate someone, you increase their worth and value not only for yourself but for them and their world. It's similar to how I increased my coaches' value. You can do this with your family, friends, students, associates, or customers.
This act of increasing another's value and worth brings power to their lives and yours. This power manifests when something that wasn't there before now exists because you spoke it into existence. When someone becomes better, stronger, happier, prouder, or more valued because of your words, that is power for good. The positive behavior that follows is the second power. People live into their acknowledgments when given the opportunity.
Another power comes from the inner feelings you have with gratitude, which create a vibration of love and appreciation. When you can shift your emotions or moods to joy, pride, satisfaction, and love at any moment, that is true power in your hands. The overall results of appreciation transform the world into one of positive outcomes and results. When practiced over time, it changes your brain to recognize gratitude as a way of thinking and living. It turns "not enough" into plenty and abundance.
Philippians 4:6 – "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication,
with thanksgiving in your hearts let your requests be made known to God."
One aspect of appreciating others is seeing their value, worth or talent and speaking it to them!

When you practice appreciation over time, you begin to live in a mindset of plenty and abundance. You recognize that "all is well" and that you have many blessings. You remain constantly grateful for your blessings and your life, inhabiting a space filled with love and joy.
To appreciate someone or something only once would be a peek experience or a fluke. Right? But doing it daily would make it a part of your life and a routine. Would you brush your teeth once and expect them to be clean forever? Routinely we brush our teeth to keep them clean, mostly because we are taught to.
I invite you to make it a daily part of your life, a routine, and achieve the many benefits.
What is important is not just being aware, but the practice of gratitude on a daily basis. Researchers and scientists report that significant benefits come with the practice of appreciating and encouraging the presence ongoingly.
Here are some of the benefits:
One is having a greater sense of self and self-worth. You and others will notice this confidence.
Another one comes when appreciation opens the door to share and acknowledge our gratitude to our family, friends, and peers.
This daily practice of appreciation can also fuel connection at home and innovation at our jobs.
One of the most important benefits of the daily practice of appreciation\gratitude is that we shift from a state of surviving or stress in our lives to one of “all is well”. This is a major “state change” that affects all areas of our lives. A shift to peace and well-being is common. Most of us do not know that experience.
How often? Simple answer, daily.
Some people I know practice while they walk in the morning. Some people say their gratitude bracelets at night before bedtime. I express my gratitude daily with my first cup of coffee.
So, would you like to experience these benefits and make that shift then, develop an appreciative state of mind.
It’s a daily practice……like brushing our teeth.
What I can add to the last paragraph is that people around you will notice a contagious, joyful, and generous space about you. As you give thanks for your current blessings, you will receive even more.
I can't say exactly how long it will take. I have shifted into that space, and it has been a few months for me. I know someone who managed it in just a few weeks. The timeline is up to you.
I've been told by Catholic people that these "Gratitude Bracelets" remind them of the Rosary Beads. I'm not catholic so I don't know how Rosery Beads work. I do know I didn't design them after Rosary Beads.
With these bracelets and each bead, you are reminded of your life's blessing. When you give thanks, you declare the blessings in your life. The bracelet represents a daily practice of appreciating the people and blessings that fill your life.
So, if they are like Rosary Beads...then so be it.
Gratitude bracelets come in many styles and designs
